2. Associate Membership:

(a) Shall be opened to Non-Laboratory Healthcare professionals who wish to be Associated with Medical Laboratory profession.

(b) Associate members shall not vote or to be voted into office.

5. Honorary Membership:

(a) This may be conferred upon any person or group of persons who have rendered distinguished service to the cause of Medical Laboratory Technology.

(b) Honorary members shall not vote or be voted into office

1. Ordinary Membership:

This shall be opened to the following persons by virtue of their qualifications:

(a) Holders of certificate, diploma, Bachelor degrees, Masters or PhDs in Medical Laboratory Technology/Science from institutions or Universities approved by Ministry of Education and Sports, Ministry of Health, and/or Uganda National Council for Higher Education (UNCHE).

(b) Holders of equivalent qualifications from elsewhere approved by the Uganda National Council of Higher Education.

(c) Must be registered with the Allied Health Professionals’ Council.

6. Life Membership:

(a) This shall be conferred upon the retired professional members who have been consistent ordinary members of the Association for all or at least 15 years of their professional lives.

(b) Life members shall enjoy all the privileges as are enjoyed by ordinary members of the Association.

4. Corporate Membership:

(a) This shall be opened to such organizations with interest in Medical Laboratory profession Corporate members shall not vote and shall not be voted into office

3. Temporary Membership:

(a) This shall be opened to pre-professional students of Medical Laboratory Technology

(b) Temporary members shall not vote and shall not be voted into office.
